Crafty Bastards!
The Mutiny is lucky that we are all Crafty Bastards this year! We took an afternoon out of our busy busy getting ready to assemble Craft Mutiny promo packs to give out. Joy, Paula and I made our way up to the roof where we had to battle wind, but luckily no rain to assemble nearly 400 promo packs!

The vendor list for this year's event is just amazing. I have spent too much time checking it out. My favorite things right now are these paintings by Rania Hassan at www.goshdarnknit.com:
These are just mesmerizing. The idea that we are knitting each other's projects over space and time is just lovely. I think about this all the time. About time and history and what my great grandma's life was like 100 years ago. There is this calm about these paintings, too. Something about the colors and how pretty the girls are. I can't wait to see these in person!
You can check out Rania's paintings as well as all of our wares this Sunday!
Location: Marie Reed Learning Center
18th St NW & Wyoming Ave NW, Washington, DC View Map
When: Sunday, October 1, 10:00am - 5:00 pm
To see check out the vendors yourself, check out the Washington CityPaper's Crafty Bastards site.

Thank you Tina Seamonster! I immediately fell in love with the knitting women painting and bought it! Screw the fact that the city wants me to pay to replace the sidewalk that is damaged because they planted a tree next to it and the roots are cracking the cement! Art comes first. That is my rant for today, thanks for reading!
